Although a busy musician, Russ Becker considers teaching his most
important and rewarding musical endeavor, and loves working with students of all ages and skill levels. Many of his students
go on to become fine college and adult musicians and teachers. His middle school and high school students are always well
represented in Connecticut regional and all state ensembles.
Russ
believes in a warm, friendly, personalized and encouraging approach to teaching, and incorporates many aspects of the art
of making and understanding music into his instrumental lessons. In addition to his teaching schedule at The Woodwind Studio
in Clinton, Russ is also on the faculty of Community Music School in Essex, CT and String Theory School of Music in Flanders,
CT (see links).
