April 24th at 2:00 p.m. The Old Saybrook Woman's Club presents the ROANE/BECKER DUO perfrming a unique program of classical
works and jazz music from the popular American songbook in a free concert open to the public. Stephen Roane will play cello
& guitar and Russ Becker on woodwinds. The concert will be held at the Congregational Chuch, Main St., Old Saybrook, CT
Sunday April 26th at 6:00 p.m.Herb Clark and The Centerbrook Meeting House,
Main St., Centerbrook. CT will host the first of two concerts produced by Russ Becker featuring some of the area's talented
student musicians who have created their own working musical ensembles alongside a band of professional musicians and teachers
working in a comparable musical idiom. The April 26th venue will feature the East Haddam based student group "SOULSTICE" led
by saxohonist Henry Apostoleris, performing a blend of jazz, blues, funk & fusion followed by the blues plus group "BOP
TWEED" led by acclaimed guitarist/composer Stepen Roane. Tickets are $8.00 for adults and $4.00 for students and children.
Everyone is welcome. Proceeds to benfit the Community Music School student scholarship fund. PLEASE COME OUT AND SUPPORT THESE
MUSICIANS AND THE ARTS IN OUR COMMUNITY.
